For those of you who have played Majora's Mask, there is a scene when you approach the tree with the drawing on it where Tatl tells the story of how the Skull Kid acquired the Majora's Mask, by attacking the mask salesman and stealing it.
The video on all of the cartridges sold in stores show Tatl saying "I never believed he would do what he did." and stuff like that (the Skull Kid was bullied by his friends and left alone), at which point the screen goes black and it fades to the salesman lying on the ground unconscious, while the Skull Kid rummages in his bag of masks.
However, early to the release of Majora's Mask, a video was released on the internet that depicted a far more graphic and unsettling video that Nintendo supposedly removed from the game at the last minute, because it would have incurred a much higher rating of the game (and might have banned it).
I have seen this video several years ago, and may I say that it is far more violent that the revised one. You can actually see the Skull kid attack the salesman viciously, blood and all, and there is plenty of gore. You can also see the physical bullying of the Skull Kid by his peers.
Also, when Link meets the Skull Kid at the beginning of the game, he is ferociously scarred and bruised (this is after the events of the movie), and speaks of something that ambushed him and stole the mask.
In a newspaper review of the game, which I can't find a link to a copy of, there is a reference to the denial by Nintendo of any such movie being made by them.
So unless the video had been made by someone else outside of Nintendo, I haven't been able to find it recently- the time I actually watched it was from a friend who had it on his computer.
It is fairly common knowledge that Majora's Mask is the darkest of the Zelda games, but few people know of this video, which was the darkest thing about it. I, myself wished they had left it in.
